The Royal Corin Thermal Water Spa & Resort - Adults Only

Wow... where to begin. My boyfriend and I went there to celebrate my birthday and our anniversary and The Royal Corin went above and beyond to make our experience incredible. I would put this resort in my top 3 best hotels for the staff and service alone. The staff had a "yes" attitude and made us feel very welcome and taken care of (they were honestly amazing from the doorman, reception, to the cleaners). The towel designs on the bed, the little notes, balloons, strawberries and chocolate, etc, were the little things that made me feel very special on my birthday! On an allergy note, the restaurants were willing to adapt the meals as I am gluten free. The breakfast buffet is not celiac safe but the chef will make you a separate breakfast (whatever you want). Shout out to Jonathan who was an amazing server at breakfast (he went out of his way to find me some GF cereal to eat so I wasn't left out). It's amazing that this resort doesn't have day pass guests and is also adult only. The main pool is a lovely hot temperature and the pool bar is super cool! They even let you order food from any restaurant, straight to the pool. The Junior Suite was spacious and had a nice view of the volcano.

Staff are very attentive, helpful and friendly. Room was big, very nice, and clean. View of volcano is amazing from 4th floor room. 8 minute taxi ride to town center from hotel ($10 USD). Can walk to Baldi hot spring from hotel if that is on your list of things to do. Most excursions will pick you up from hotel. Nice breakfast buffet that is included. Private taxi that was booked to get to and from SJO airport was super easy (2.75 hour scenic ride with ability to stop for bathroom/food breaks)

everything was excellent. we had a nice dinner on premises one night. the staff are very friendly helpful and accomodating. the thermal pools are relaxing. the one cold pool is nice too but its not that cold like all pools here because of the warm climate.

The staff is OVER the top. If you appreciated being greeted continuously, help with excursion ideas, and a high level of service - The Royal Corin is for you. You know what else is fantastic? It's adults only!! You NEVER have to worry about screaming or misbehaved kids. The hotel breakfast is plentiful with something for everyone - including gluten free. And, the breakfast varies a bit from day to day so you'll have some of the same standby items (breads, drinks, quick breads, etc) along with varying hot items. The hot springs pools are awesome - they range in temperature. Some of them are REALLY hot LOL. The bathroom amenities are great - shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and body lotion. The bed is super comfy as are the pillows. Plenty of outlets to charge your stuff and the wifi is great. There is a small fridge in the room and they provide two water bottles a day. We needed an iron/ironing board and it arrived in the room within minutes after I called the front desk. Fabian (front desk employee) recommended the Arenal 1968 hike - this is a MUST do. The views of the volcano and lake are fantastic. The hotel is only a couple of miles from the town of Fortuna, lots of great places to eat there, coffee shops and walking around. Never been to Costa Rica? Take a rain jacket, some light weight hiking boots or sturdy sided sneakers (ie, don't wear shoes such as Adidas ultra boosts), an extra bag to bring home coffee, and patience driving. Something may look only a few km away on a map (use Waze), but the roads are windy, slow and have lots of cars. Go eat at a local Soda (aka cafe) and eat some comida typica (local food). Have patacones. Don't miss out.

The Royal Corin and their staff exceeded my expectations. The hotel itself was absolutely beautiful, the room well appointed, comfortable, and modern. The staff greeted us right away and I've never had a check out process like this one; they gave us a welcome drink, cold refreshing towel, and had us sit in the lounge while they took our information and checked us in. The staff were so friendly and professional, and went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make our stay extraordinary. The front desk staff gave us great tips of where to go, excursion information, and were extremely accommodating. The grounds of the hotel were gorgeous, on the smaller side but intimate and perfect for couples. The pool area and swim up bar was my favorite with plenty of lounge chairs available. Also, shout out to Isreal, the bartender and waiter who made my husband and I awesome drinks, and was super friendly and personable. He made our experience at the Royal Corin that much better. The room itself was awesome, especially the large bathroom and walk in shower, also extremely clean! We also appreciated they provided a bottle of water for each of us daily. I have nothing but positive things to say about this hotel. The breakfast had a good variety and was fresh and tasty. The restaurant on site on the main floor was delicious as well. I would 10/10 recommend this hotel to anyone staying in La Fortuna who wants some rest and relaxation after a busy day exploring Costa Rica!
